Supernatural Series Begins
Life’s battles are both physical and spiritual. I have to fight and pray. As I pray the supernatural invades the natural. This is how I conquer.
A new 6-week sermon series, Supernatural, began this past Sunday. The first message, Supernatural Power, focused on our need to understand the importance of action and prayer in life’s battles. E.M. Bounds stated truthfully, “Only God can move mountains but, but faith and prayer move God.”
Pastor Griffin, using Exodus 17:8-16 as a foundation, highlighted these points about prayer and life’s battles:
1. We must fight and pray.
2. Hands up we win, hands down we lose.
3. As I pray the supernatural invades the natural.

Our Summer Giving Program goal: is $51,340. This will allow us to operate at optimum level during June 1 through August 31. Through Week 5, June 29, we needed to have received $18,335 to be on track. Our actual giving through Week 5 is $20,704. To God Be The Glory!
Educational Enrichment Ministries – Joy Night Is This Friday!
It is finally here and we need to see you in the place! The Educational Enrichment Ministries are sponsoring Joy Night, a night of fun, fellowship, and unique praise, on July 11th at 7:00pm! The proceeds will benefit the Harvest Scholarship Fund. Grab someone and bring them with you to this exciting event. Get more details on the website or in The City.
Celebrate Recovery Flapjack Fundraiser
The Celebrate Recovery ministry here at Harvest is quickly gearing up for their launch this fall. They will be holding their first fundraiser on Saturday, July 19th at Applebee’s Restaurant located at 105 Wilton Blvd., New Castle, DE 19702. The tickets are just $10 and the proceeds will go to support the Celebrate Recovery ministry. See a member of the Celebrate Recovery team at the Welcome Center after worship this Sunday for tickets.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is coming! Mark your calendars for July 28th through August 1st. This year’s theme is Weird Animals. At Weird Animals, kids will learn about some of God’s most creative creations! They’ll participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and dig into yummy treats, experience cool Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them they are one of a kind, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with The Tail End—a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Weird Animals VBS is for kids from ages 3 to 12 and will run from 6:30PM to 8:30PM each day.
L.A.C.E. Women’s Ministry
The Women’s ministry of Harvest Christian Fellowship, Ladies After Christ’s Example (LACE), is gearing up for Discipleship Classes.
If you recently joined Harvest, or have not participated in discipleship classes in the past, we have the right setting for you. Victorious Disciples is the group for you. Topics that are covered include Knowing who You Are in Christ; How to Study the Bible; The Journey of Faith; Becoming a Woman of Prayer; just to name a few.
If you have participated in discipleship classes in the past, please join in the group called Becoming a Woman of Influence. This group will cover such topics as Impacting Lives Like Jesus; The Principle of Time Alone with God; and The Principle of Walking and Talking; The Principle of Compassion; just to name a few.
