Back to Church Sunday was a great day! Many guests, representing persons in our 8 to 15 joined us as we praised, prayed, and fellowshipped in the name of our Lord. Thank you to everyone whose participation made it a great day. Whether you worked in front or behind the scenes, invited people to join us, or simply prayed for the day, it would not have been a success without you. The message, Why Church?, attempted to answer the question by providing compelling reasons that we gather together weekly for corporate worship. The five reasons for church were gleaned from Acts 2:42-47 and included:
- Membership
- Magnification
- Maturity
- Ministry
- Mission

Bible Study – 1 Corinthians
Bible Study returned this past week. We are studying the book of 1 Corinthians and invite you to join us. We meet in the Sanctuary every Wednesday evening from 7-8:30pm.
Delaware Goes to College
There is a lot of debate going on about education in our State. Let’s do our part. McKean High School is, along with all the high schools in the State, participating in Delaware Goes to College’s College Application Month. McKean is located right around the corner from our church on McKennan’s Church Road. They are in need of volunteers for their College Application Month events. The events will be held in November, from 10-14. Let’s get involved in education outside our four walls and in the community where we are located. Small Groups and Affinity Events
There are two small groups for women that are currently happening weekly in our church. There women are getting together for fellowship (membership) and discipleship (maturity). We grow together. It is our desire to see more small groups begin at Harvest. We also need to plan some events to bring like-minded people together to get to know one another. These will be great opportunities for new people to get connected and for us all to get to know one another. Men, married couples, and singles are all on our radar. We need your help! It will take us all working together in order for us to grow together. Don’t stay stuck on the bench…come get in the game. Keep an eye out for gatherings in October or November.
